Meeting #77- August Zoo Trip- Sunday 30th

Hellow everyone!



I know what you are about to ask "But Neko, didn't we already have a zoo trip couple of months ago? " - Yes, Yes we did, but we love our zoo trips don't we? :)) I know from confidential sources that the zoo has a couple of new additions and it's worth giving some attention to the new animals don't you think? Plus Sunday it's going to be a nice sunny day and it's worth having an outside meeting.

When and where  are we meeting up? We meet up at the bear statue in front of the big entrance,i say 12 would be good, so by the time it's really hot outside we are already inside the zoo where it's a bit cooler than rest of the city, and by the time we finish we have plenty left to  ping pong in the park or play something, and end the night with a drink or we see. So it's going to be a full day meeting in honor of Sweppy who got back from Denmark for a visit and i'm sure misses the meetings a lot :3 . In the zoo besides the usual looking at the animals and stuffing them with popcorn ... we are going to have some little games to keep us entertained.

Don't forget to bring some snacks and water, because the day is long and full of hunger.

Read-a-Thon Opening Event

C.A.T. Read-a-Thon

What is a Read-a-Thon? 

it's like a marathon, but involves mostly the muscles of your eyes, instead of your feet. Basically this week all participants will be focusing on reading as much as they propose for them self, we will have different challenges for categories : beginner, intermediate and pro. 
During the week, everyone who wants to participate can read whenever they want, but the opening event on the 1st and the closing event on the 8th will involve meeting up with fellow readers and spending a few hours together.

What will be the events?

The actual events that will be held, on the 1st and the 8th, will involve a few little activities , challenges and of course reading together. The opening event will be when we announce the reading challenges of the week and participants will pick their books (it can be any format, e-book, or classic book, any genre) . The closing event will be similar, but with the participants presenting what they read, and what they completed of the challenges.

what will be the challenges ?

we will have 3 categories with challenges for every level beginner, intermediate and pro readers, we want to encourage everyone to read, not just our bookworms. The challenges will be presented the week before the opening event, online, and also at the opening event.

Meet #76 Summer Started Picnick

Our 76th meeting will be held on the 18th of July, yes, yes tomorrow, if you were on fb you should know by now, i'm writing this only to have evidence of it here to.  We are gathering at 2, on the Platoul Cornesti, and we will have a... BBQ! i know you love BBQ meets , they are the best aren't they. Anyways we will have some fun games also and activities planned, the entrance fee is 10 ron . Hope to see you there!

So i know this is a bit late to announce it, but it kinda came up only yesterday, that we (well mostly me) wanna go to the city zoo. If you have been around for long enough you might have noticed that we love the zoo (well mostly me, but you know how it goes, Neko wants Neko gets >:) )Yes yes i know this month is like hell broke loose for most of us, but let's face it we need some time out.

We will be meeting in front of the bear statue at 3 pm today, and go in together, we might hang out in the park after we are done at the zoo, and go to le&le after, so it's almost a whole day of good 'ol club fun.

Meet #75 Birthday meet! (Jan-Feb-March-April)

Long time, no see, well depends how often you hang out with the gang XD. So there's been some time since we last celebrated birthdays in the club,so it's about time for that. This Saturday (18.04) from 2pm , we will have out 75th meeting, when we will celebrate those who were born in the months January, February, March, and April.( yes i know that is 4 months, but i though it would be better since we don't have that many birthdays in these months )

The meeting will be held, in our new HQ , Petru Maior building C, Classroom C06.

What does a Birthday meet imply? Well pizza of course +-+ !!! So bring an additional 10 ron with you.

Other than this, we will have some of the usual things, like anime watching, games, and some kind of challenge (i'm out of ideas guys, so please if you have one, or you want to actually host a challenge, contact me )

How did i get here? Long story, you might find out this weekend at our 73rd meeting. When will it be and where? Well our new HQ, a.k.a.     Hello everyone 
           

   In case you are blind, or just ignorant enough, and you missed the announcement about the next 5 meets, here i am to remind you that we are having our first meeting this year, March 7th form 14:00, in our new location. (Petru Maior University C building) 

 What wasn't said until now is what room, we will use, since the schedule changed we won't be able to use the same room each time. This meet will be held in C06, which is on the "underground" level, so you have to  find the stairs that lead down, and you will be able to find it easy from there, since                                                           there's only one classroom.

Spring is back, and so are we !

I'm happy to announce that the meetings are finally back, since these next few months will be very busy for pretty much everyone, i decided to post the calendar of  out meetings. As you see we no longer follow the pattern of every second weekend, the reason for it is that i adapted the schedule to events and activities that will be coming up.

Merry x-mas and a Happy new year!

We finally reached another year of activity, our club is 4 years old now, and we even celebrated it with a nice little party, with cake, and music, and   games, and all the usual. Unfortunately we don't have a group picture ...cuz we kinda forgot...again so i'll just leave this Santa Totoro here in it's place :)) .

Though the year is almost over we still have some activities left for our members to enjoy, since it's vacation we will have a couple of hangouts so stay in tune with that on our facebook group .

Our next main event is our new years party. Just like in the last 2 years we are going to spend new years ave, plus 2 more days in El Passo pension. If you want to participate please fill this form so we can make the planning accordingly, we expect a price around 130 ron, which includes- drinks, snacks, bread, and the pension costs. Food is bring your own and share rule, just like every  other time we had new year together. You can bring a friend with you if you wish, but they have to give their part of the money also. For the Whovians,  we have a new whomas special coming out on the 25th, soo excited for that!!!

So Winter is here... ish...well officially it's here but the weather doesn't really want to cooperate only with the cold side. Anyways to slowly enter the holiday season we will have a little Santa Claus themed Meeting on December 6th 2pm at out new location Petru Maior C building (a.k.a. Livezeni) (staircase got fixed meanwhile ) . But wait there's more, this meet will also be a birthday meet for those born in .... July, August, September, October, November and December, pff that was long, since we skipped one celebration we have to strike down on all 6 months at once. Birthday meet mean of course like always PIZZZAAAA .

But Neko how is it then a Santa meet then?

Here's the tricky part.

Pizza doesn't really go with the holiday theme, unlesss.... we will have.... and that part is a surprise.

Anyways what you need to know: wear red, or white and red, or at least a Santa hat or reindeer horns if you want to be part of the special surprise.
Bring 10 ron extra for pizza and 3 ron as fee, because we need to make some economy since our Birthday is also 'round the corner.

Well today i'm just not in the mood for writing to much so let's get to business :)). Saturday 22nd of November we are having our 67th meeting, from 2pm at our new HQ Petru Maior Livezeni. Just like last time you can expect a little of everything, art, anime watching, amv, improv, and lots of fun.

About the new location, it will be at Building C of Petru Maior University.

For those who don't know where it is, it is located close to the last buss station in Tudor, Centrofarm, after you get off the buss you go ahead on the road and you will find a long ass staircase and go up.  but we will put out arrows so you can find it easier, well for those who are late, cuz we will have a meet-up at 1:45 at the last station and go up together at 2. On busses just look for "Centrofarm" inscription

Time for a  meeting yet again. This time around we are going to have a new location, how exciting is that ^-^. But let's take it slow, the meeting will be held Saturday 08.11. from 2pm and it will be a little mix of everything. We will have anime watching, amv, quiz, drawing, and games.

C.A.T. Halloween '14

Hello 

Sorry for the late post...well not that late but last year by this time we had like 3 posts about Halloween. This year do to technical difficulties we decided to aim lower then last year and make a somewhat smaller event but even more fun. 

    We decided to go with the theme "Rise of Samhain" since the organizers wanted something original this year instead of going with an anime or show, It will be a story based event, but we learned from last year so only the first 2 hours or so will be interconnected as the main competition, and after we will have smaller activities for everyone to enjoy.  

Details :  The party will be on the 25th of October from 5pm and we will held it at Tibi's place, costumes mandatory of course.

Meet #64 Survival something

Hellow everyone,


So the time has come for us to have yet another meeting, this one will be special because it's the  debut of our newest form of organizing, the KORT system. This event will be organized by KORT members who took on this very important task, Smotto, Levi and Sanci.

They named the meet "Survival something", which brings back memories of the times when we had a bunch of survival themed meets, last summer. Now the meeting will be held Saturday from 3pm on Platoul Cornesti, in the park, we meet at the bear statue and then occupy one of the tables, hopefully this time wound it won't be as crowded.

Special mention - do not be late, this is an order from the organizers, you can arrive until 3:15, but the event starts right after and you won't be able to participate, because there will be teams and a fix schedule. 


What you need to know this far is that we will have some special games and competitions, so be sure to bring your  energy and creativity with you, of course no competition is complete without prizes ^-~

Meet 63 Summer Wrap up

Hey everyone!



What's up? How was the last meeting? Sorry i couldn't be there, but i have been on an extended vacation. The reason why there is no post about the last meeting on the blog is that i didn't organize it and the organizer didn't send me the details in time, and i already had enough problems on my head not to care about this detail anymore.


 BUUt it's time for a brand new meeting. If you follow our facebook group updates, you already know that time around we will have our meeting on a Sunday, more exactly, this Sunday, September 7th from 3pm . Where? on Platoul Cornesti, the weather looks nice so i believe it will be perfect for us since it has the necessary "equipment" for our last summer meeting.

I hope many of you can participate because, next to our usual activities we will have some organizing details discussed and also some planning to do. Okay, don't freak out, it won't be long, but we need it, or better said i need some points set straight. This part hopefully won't take up more then a hour, i believe it can be done in 30 mins if everyone cooperates.

Besides the planning part of the meeting, i would like some games and activities, if anyone wants to get involved in the organizing, you know where to find me.

THIS  EVENT WILL BE HELD July 26th  2pm same location 

Hey everyone.



So we decided to do something a bit different for this birthday meeting, since it's summer and we can use that up as an advantage. Saturday 26th we will meet at 2pm at the Bear statue, Platoul Cornesti. From there we will go to the big park and occupy one of the picnic zones, where we will prepare the grill and have a feast :D .

Now what you will have to know in advance, we will have to gather money for it before the event, so we can do some shopping, so today you will find us in LE&Le from 6 where you can bring the money and stay for some fun games, or meet up with me tomorrow, for this please contact me on FB or phone, or if you really can't make it please tell me in advance and we will solve it.

We need to know how many of you will be there so we can get enough meat and drinks and all the other stuff.
Since it's  a birthday meet we will have fun activities and we will celebrate those who were born in april -may or june.
